The Rochford Methodist

Our newsletter is generally published bi-monthly on the even months. Copies of the latest edition published, along with some available previous editions, can be accessed from the box on the right (see note below). Anything not shown may still be available, but only in a paper form - contact us if you want a copy of anything not shown.

As much as possible of the content is 'home-grown' and it is intended to be a readable report on what has happened to our members and the things they get up to. It is a mixture of news, views and light-hearted articles, with one or two heavier items mixed in.

NOTES FOR DOWNLOADING COPIES OF THE

Rochford Methodist

(Note: Editions dated before February 2006 have been deleted but hard copies are avaiable on request)

Copies are in Portable Document Format (PDF) so you will need a PDF reader, such as Adobe Reader, on your PC or Mac.To download the newsletter, RIGHT-click on the link in the Download box, choose 'Save Target As ...' and save the file to your hard drive. Then open it in your chosen PDF Reader.

To create a paper copy you can print from your Reader package using the double-siding option on your printer, or by printing on one side ofthe paper then turning the page over and printing on the other side. When you have printed all the pages, fold them in half to get an A5 document. The magazine is designed for printing on European A4 (210mm × 297mm) paper.

If you do not already have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, or if you have version 0, 1, 2 or 5, then you can get a free copy of the software from Adobe at www.adobe.com/uk/ BUT the latest version (9.3.6 at the time of this update) is well over 30Mb so you are advised to download it ONLY if you have Broadband, have a lot of patience, or are rich enough to pay for a 24-hour phone call! If you don't fit into one of these categories then you will find that cover-mount CDs/DVDs on computer magazines usually have a reasonably up-to-date version.
